Dungeon Dice Original Art

By request, we're selling original art from the Dungeon Dice video.  Each piece is signed by the artist, mounted on mat board and suitable for framing.  (I recommend floating glass frames)

The larger pieces are 8.5x7"
The smaller pieces are 6.5x7" (this includes items 3, 5, 11, and 13)

The cost of these pieces may be added to your Kickstarter pledge.  However, we only have one of each, so we will sell them first come first serve.  If you are interested in a piece, send us a message on Kickstarter, or to Potluckgames@gmail.com and we will reserve the item for you.

Items begin at $120.  The price will decrease as the more popular items are claimed.  So if there is a specific piece you would like, you'll need to reserve it now.

(By the way, item 3 is a monster eating the king's children.  It didn't make the final cut of the video.)

All Monsters Unlocked!

...and with a couple extra to boot.  This means the monster set is complete.  It looks like our poll malfunctioned, but the clear winners were Kickstarter Exclusive dice, followed by more variety in treasures, experience trackers, artifacts, and then spells.

We're making stretch goals for ALL of these.  They should be posted by Monday (May 6).

3d Dice Renderings

If you haven't checked it out on the project home page, we've added some 3d renderings kindly created by one of our backers.  It really adds life to the game.  Honestly, it makes me want a copy more...

Dungeon Dice Rolling Along...

We're adding new dice pretty regularly.  In addition, we're arranging for a featured contest with Board Game Geek, which will start May 6th.  A healthy 20 days before the project ends.

SECOND GIVE-AWAY!

(Exclusively for Backers of the First Kickstarter Project)
Right.  Who still wants a free copy of Dungeon Dice?  We're gearing up for the relaunch on April 15th, setting up advertising and contests.  We're announcing a contest just for those of you who backed the original project.  Because we love you.
Here's how it will work.  We want to encourage Backers to switch over to the new project as quickly as possible.  To that end, we will give away copies of the full game (with all stretch goals, delivered to your door) to three lucky backers who switch to the new project on the first 3 days of launch.  That's April 15th, 16th, and 17th.  (We'll throw in the 18th in case of time zone differences)
    Mark those dates!
Here's how it will work.  On the 18th, we will randomly select three names among backers of the NEW project.  We will check to see if those names were backers of the ORIGINAL project.  If so, you win a game.
No matter what, we will give three games away.  So we may have to put names back and draw again, until we have three qualified winners.
This contest will be run through the Potluck Games site, and NOT through Kickstarter (which is forbidden).  This is a minor technicality which is unlikely to cause confusion.  One way or another, we will contact the winners and post them on this site.
We're excited at all the interest we've seen so far.  Happy backing!

Taint of Cthulhu

Well, the current plan is to produce COPPER dice instead of aluminum, with a dark patina.  We tested the process on the right penny.  Personally, I love the idea of antique looking dice.  The problem?  Apparently the alloy we used on the test cubes is not pure copper.  It ages very differently.

Sadly, because of this, we have to devote more time to experimentation, and it will delay production until after we run Dungeon Dice.

I will send pictures of the actual dice when I have a better sample.

Expanded Rules

We've reworked the rules with pictures and color-coding, along with many more examples and clarifications.  This will be traveling along with some new prototypes for marketing purposes, so we're eager to get some feedback.

The launch is about a month away!  Patience... patience...

Aluminum Cthulhu Dice

Produced a couple test customized dice in aluminum.  We may have missed the boat on aluminum dice.  Seems like it's getting very popular now.  However, I want to create something that feels a little nastier.  Maybe Copper with a patina?  That would feel more like Cthulhu to me.

Freestyle Playtesting

What is freestyle playtesting?  We've invited backers from the original Kickstarter project to design and playtest their own dice online, with prizes for concepts we end up using in the game.

This playtesting is primarily concerned with expansions for the game.  We're discussing class dice, race dice, new spells, duels, colosseum fights, epic monsters, and more.

Here's a scale image of an Epic Monster compared to a few other dice.  This is Tiamat.  Each side of the die has different elemental powers, representing it's various heads.

These monsters are strong enough to take on all heroes at once.  Any hero who wishes can join in on the fight for possible rewards.

Cthulhu Dice

Currently looking into ways to produce the Cthulhu die separate from Dungeon Dice.  I have some samples on the way of Alluminum Cthulhu dice.  We'll include some photos when they arrive.

Dungeon Dice Story

The king of Elorim has been killed.  No surprise, really.  The kingdom is overrun by monsters.  Fortunately for you, this means there is a vacant throne.

The previous king was eaten, and the king before him was burnt to a crisp.  The people have unanimously decided that the next king must know how to hold a sword.

This is where you come in.  You may be a bit green, but you did stab a slime once that was creeping into your kitchen.  You might have a chance to prove yourself.

Unfortunately, every half-wit, braggart, and two-bit warrior in the kingdom has the same idea.  If you are to prove yourself in battle, you will have to do it before anyone else or *cough cough* die trying.

Dungeon Dice

Our current project?  Dungeon Dice.

Because you love dice, we decided to make a game with nothing but dice.  And the bags to hold them.  Maybe a box to hold the bags to hold the dice.

Dungeon Dice is a competitive all dice game with plenty of monster bashing, treasure finding, and back-stabbing.

Dice are used to represent levels, weapons, armor, potions and even monsters.  So equip your sword die, kill a goblin die and grab is treasure die.

Basically, whoever gets the coolest dice wins.
